Our second annual RUN for Reading weekend will be October 23-24 at South Seas Island Resort. On Saturday, walk or run a 5K course, and on Sunday, combine the run with a swim in the Gulf's warm waters to participate in the Aquathlon.
This event is presented by IMA and hosted by South Seas Island Resort. Other sponsors include the Zonta Club of Sanibel/Captiva and Alexander & Hoover CPA’s, PA.

About Literacy Volunteers of Lee County: LVLC is a non-profit agency that has been providing free adult literacy programs in Lee County since 1989. Through specially-trained volunteers, LVLC offers programs for adults who are speakers of other languages and wish to learn English, or who speak English and want to learn to read and write.

Last year’s participants enjoyed the 5K Run/Walk Course along South Sea’s historic Plantation Road. The Aquathlon, for athletes 16 and older, included a 2-mile run, a 1K-swim in the Gulf of Mexico and a 1.5-mile run to the Finish Line.
